The aim of the project was to create a knee tracking system for collegiate students who engage in various sports and activities. Joint usage and posture is essential for fitness and strength. Research shows that many students face their first major injuries in various joints due to overuse and overtraining themselves. This was highlighted due to competition and the need to perform the best in the competitive university environment.
I designed this device that tracks knee usage using two accelerometers placed in key areas of the leg. This sensor records the acceleration of the knee movement and relays it to the user via an app interface as well as haptic feedback. The haptics are triggered once the device detects improper knee posture. The app records the daily use of the joint and provides valuable feedback that can be easily understood and reflected upon. Overall, this device will help the user better understand their exercises, posture as well as overall joint usage to avoid overuse injuries.


The device acts as a set, with one attached to the thigh and the other to the shin area. This way the accelerometer sensors within can calculate the ‘x’ & ‘y’ axis. All this can be tracked through the app which monitors carefully any improper positioning or overuse within a period of time.
Furthermore, the heart shape devices come with interaction points to enhance the user experience and comfort. Silicone grips and texture has been added to the sides, with accented colored buttons and touchpoints. Finally, the devices have a layer of foam that provides extra comfort and soft texture as it can be worn in contact with the skin.







Introducing EchoMark, a bespoke training device for visually impaired football players. The aim of the project was to provide a training aid to upcoming or amateur football athletes with complete blindness or some visual impairment. Furthermore, with the introduction of this product, we created a business enterprise which also aimed to promote Paralympic sports and create more awareness and the importance of Paralympics just like its counterpart (Olympics).



Scenario of use: The device is a training tool used to create running drills. The main issue for new athletes is having the confidence to run on the field, without fear of colliding with other players or tripping. The device can be placed on the field in various patterns such as seen on the right. The device will emit sounds so the player would run towards the sound, with motion sensors the sound will stop once the player reaches the device and will proceed to the next device emitting the sound.

Augmented reality is quickly embedding itself in the world of sports and fitness. It has been forecasted to help professional and amateur athletes in monitoring performance, training and health. This project aimed to create a visor headset that incorporated AR to create a series of training exercises for new tennis players and professional players as well.

Scenario of use: The visor is a training tool for amateur or professional tennis players who can practice on or off the field. The player will begin by adjusting the headset so it fits well, with the supports looping around the ear for comfort and stability. The user will have the opportunity to select multiple scenarios of gameplay, with varied difficulty and situations such as rain or something more intense or even calm. The gameplay will simulate a second player and a virtual tennis ball. The player would be able to see the direction of their hits with further details such as speed and force.





Brief description: The project aim was to learn and implement surface modeling techniques to create a remote controller for a toy car. The controller was designed to be manufactured using injection molding, with focus onto key details such as draft angles and assembly details.
