The escalating integration of smartphones into daily life introduces significant cognitive load and manual distraction for motorcyclists, directly contributing to riding risks in dynamic environments. Why buy a GPS solution when your smartphone is waterproof? It can stream music straight to your headphones or intercom system, has a large display and for some; is a requirement in food delivery & ride share employment.
Changing volume, accepting a job, watching TV. They distract the rider and remove hands from the controls of the vehicle. This was a simple concept, prove that there is a market gap for a stand-alone plug and play switchgear with basic media controls for vintage, custom & lower end motorcycles. Removing distraction and allowing the user to negotiate tasks with minimal cognitive load.
From research to proof of concept; a fully functional rig testing the time to complete tasks with or without an integrated interface for media and smartphones.
